“Morgen” starring Alisa G — woman in the woods…
It’s been quite some time since I’ve had the pleasure of evaluating a MetArt erotic photo series by Max Asolo. I reviewed three of his sets early in my tenure here, but it was so long ago his style and my opinions of his work had faded from memory. “Morgen” provides a happy and welcome reminder.
It’s also been a while since I’ve set eyes on Alisa G, so this pictorial allows me to revisit two talents I’ve enjoyed in the past (you can find my first and only critique of the model here).
Alisa G, wearing a casual dress in what might be termed a primitive or tribal print (it’s her only bit of clothing) stands in a forest. The rustic setting makes a fine backdrop for this cream-complected blonde. And Alisa G — thanks, in part, to her hairdo — has a glamorous quality in many shots that sets up a nice contrast with the location. What is this glamorous beauty — see #013 — doing in this bit of wilderness? I don’t need an answer, by the way, I’m just happy to have the chance to see her there!
The set falls into several sections. The first takes place on or around a tree stump that makes a nice platform for posing. The tree-filtered natural lighting in this section is challenging and results in some interesting effects. In #006, for example, standing topless, Alisa’s torso is brightly lit while her lower body nearly disappears in the shadows.
The second section takes place on a dirt road running through the forest and provides a significant change of place while clearly belonging to the pictorial. I have a lot of favorites in this set, but #082, totally nude, back to the camera, with a hands in her hair and looking back at us over her shoulder is certainly a representative example.
The final section finds Alisa sitting in a plot of tall, dark green grasses and Asolo handles the lighting and composition here beautifully, while Alisa delivers some delightful poses. #097 is one of my picks from this group. Additional favorites from “Morgen” include #123 for the pose, that pretty face, and the way her golden hair is lighted from behind. Alisa’s smile and easy confidence in #028. And her muted, intriguing expression and relaxed pose in #126.
seriously, when i first saw her third pictorial, i thought she could put all the hollywood actress to
shame in terms of physical beauties (of course, except amanda seyfried). she has that…special
face. i was like, hell, this one is outta this world. but the sets featuring this girl were all set in
outdoors setting in which she just looked tired and weary. i mean, seriously, she looked godlike in her 3rd pictorial…
i kinda think that a number of ukrainian masterbeauties (for example, katerina), don’t get what they deserve. like, they all have 1 out-of-this-world masterpiece pictorial and the rest of the pictorials don’t just achieve their fullest potential. i guess there are people who likes outdoor sets, but i have an extreme preference for lingerie-makeup-indoor sets. say, i am an indoornudeset fundamentalist. to be honest, i just love ordinary take-off-bra-and-pantie-or vice-versa sets.
Ah. once again my pet peeve. A decent looking model, over a hundred pix, and not a single intimate closeup! Like in Harry Potter, this is the unforgivable curse. For me it matters not whether the model is pretty or the scenery nice or the photography solid this is an automatic fail for me. It is sad, This could have been a very good set but for this one thing. I look at other sets where delightfully pretty young women show us what we came for in the first few shots even without removing a single item of clothing and then I come to a set like this where the only time she shows it are on long shots and then for only 1 or 2 shots and I want to scream “foul”. To me it’s like a slap in the face, Like the model is saying I’m to good to have to show you everything. Alisa is fairly pretty but not spectacularly so, She has a good body but not a fabulous one and her facial expressions are good but not all that engaging so this set is a miss for me. There are lots of much more spectacular girls here that are willingly to show us all there is to see in very revealing detail. From the very onset and do it proudly. So why would I give this set anything more than a passing disinterest. I gave it a 7
After reading the post by gusaiejen and realizing this young lady was Ukrainian I went back to see if this reluctance to show intimate close-ups was just a fluke limited to this set or the outdoor setting or maybe the photographers fault but sadly it is not.
I went through all of her indoor sets even with other photographers and they are all the same. The only bright spot was her 1 video, Tulias, By Alex Iskan This is like another girl altogether. She seems more attractive, more animated, and willing to do those open shots that you never see in her photos.
As a Ukrainian this is doubly sad because she is in the company of so many rare beautys such as: Mia D, Toxic A, Divina A, Lily C, and the gorgeous new model Macy B, All of whom share all there assets proudly. But then that is some pretty tough company to follow.
